cohost VN fans what's the move, do I play The House In Fata Morgana, Library of Ruina (and spinoffs), or Misericorde first. Or a totally diff one if you have something to recommend, I have much to get through..

if i wanted to make a cohost bot of some kind that receives an email daily (i'll be honest, it's from the poetry foundation) and posts its content to cohost, what...would be the best way to do that.

questions i could use answers for:

• what is a good way to actually receive the email. i don't know anything about pop or imap or whatever. do i need to set up another dummy email account with gmail or something or is there a less foolish way to handle this
• is there a decent way to extract a bunch of html from the email and convert it to markdown. would this be easier in python or javascript (these are the only two ways i know to access the cohost api.) i could probably figure this out the hard way if absolutely need be but i'll take any shortcut recommendations people have
  • EDIT: i should hypothetically be able to grab plaintext from the email, if i can get it.
• do i have options besides email. i can't find em but maybe they're there. i've tried just fetching the website directly but the html on there is such a mess that i cannot figure out how to extract the poem from the chaos.
