a decent little snacking cheese, but the flavors seemed muted, especially the garlic. turns out there isn’t actually garlic in this, but rather “garlic seasoning.” and, being aged only 4 months, this is closer to a mild cheddar than a sharp. this all probably makes Vampire Slayer more palatable to the average consumer, a tad of garlic seasoning spice that’s mellowed by the buttery cheddar notes, but i’d much prefer pungent garlic complimented with the tang of sharp cheddar. this is okay for what it is and paired nicely with some amber lagers, but i don’t think i’ll be purchasing it again.
