My headcanon for Medix is, before getting zortch'd to the Crossover Dimension, he was a medic who had been the last able-handed bot protecting his patients from a Decepticon assault, which lead to him becoming a battle-hardened war-doc who fights tooth and nail for his patients.

I got new transformers! Next year's stuff is starting to trickle out through Amazon, and I got Thundertron the pirate and Magneous the RockTruck.
Fun fact, they legit claimed design inspiration from Zoids for thundertron's updated Beast Mode design.
Magneous is one of a new set of "Pull apart into accessories" figures, so you can arm robots up with rock armor and stuff.
