I finally uninstalled the Firefox snap and installed it using whatever the name of the old way is. Now finally it will remember the previous directory I uploaded something from, just like it always used to before snap, which is way the fuck easier whenever I want to upload like two or three photos I took on the same day for a blog post. But I'm sure there is some super-duper snap advantage that makes going down through the whole directory hierarchy to the same place over and over again manually a great benefit that we should all be thankful for!
