ok, so. originally i had this big long thing written listing out literally everything i could think of and rambling about it forever but that got out of hand so instead i'll focus in on just two closely-related subjects:

Was looking at the Crunchyroll Store Australia to see if they're finally gonna release TriStamp here, but was surprised to see that they're gonna be rereleasing the first season of FLCL in October
Content seems to be similar to Madman's first BD release of this in 2010 (which I own), bar a different cover sleeve (using the Ep01 key art instead of the Ep05 one), for basically twice the price. Interestingly, the 'year' section says 2023 instead of 2002, so perhaps there's been a recent remaster that I didn't know about (fair, since I only got my copy of the 2010 release last year)
...this and the Gunbuster Moderoid were probably among the last things Gainax put in motion before their collapse back in June, now that I think about it, considering their name is still on the copyright section instead of just Production I.G
