After No Way Out, It Takes Two, and Escape Academy, the only co-op game I'd been able to get my uncle into is Sea of Thieves. He bought an Xbox for Starfield, was meh on it, then ended up a diehard SoT lol.

Anyway, we beat Halo 1 but he didn't really like it, even tho he's the one who got me into Doom and Half Life as a kid. But somehow, Gears of War clicked? The cover mechanics and the over the top tone really worked for him, apparently.

We completed Gears 1 tonight (which was fun to replay!) and as he's signing off I offer to play Gears 2 if he wants to try it one of these days. He goes, "Oh, there's more of those on Game Pass?"

Lol you sweet summer child. Gonna be doing a lot of chainsawing this year, I guess!
