It was better than the first episode! I was having fun playing the new Zelda game, so maybe that affected my opinion. But I think everyone had at least one good moment. It's still too long though, you could cut a decent amount of the show and lose nothing.
How long did it take to get a Republican politician on the show? One week, with former congressman Charlie Dent, who kept insisting he was one of the good ones.
I didn't have high hopes for the first episode and it wasn't great. However, there is some potential there. Amber Ruffin will probably be really good once she gets more used to the format. The other team captain, Michael Ian Black, was not adding much at all. The presenter, Roy Wood Jr., probably got most of the laughs because he was working off a script, and there wasn't enough riffing from the contestants. It's definitely too long, an hour with ads, 45 minutes without. It could be half an hour with ads. But yeah, it might improve over the course of the series. Everyone's new to the format.
The guests were whatever. Robin Thede got some decent jokes, Matt Welch kept quiet. He had one good moment when they were talking about a politician buying porn from a shop instead of getting it online and he said "What part about community don't you understand?" and it was meant to be a joke but honestly I agree. 👏 Support 👏 local 👏 pornographers 👏
