I saw a long post about Monster Hunter and read about a third of it thinking they were talking about Monster Rancher

I only ever played Monster Rancher briefly at a cousin’s house but that act of putting some random CD into the PS1 and the game is like “here’s the monster that was in there”…. pure magic
