Obviously this contains major spoilers for Chainsaw Man, parts 1 and 2
I find it cool how so much of the characters powers come from how they're perceived and how they perceive others. The most obvious example is that Devils whose names are more feared are more powerful so its the perception people have of these devils that give them their power
Then on top of that, Makima/Control's powers work when she views the other person as below her so if she saw someone as an equal to her it wouldn't work
And Yoru/War's powers work similarly in that she can make what she perceives as her's into a weapon, most notably when Asa "bought" the aquarium they were in even though the amount of money she offered wouldn't have been enough to actually buy the aquarium, she didn't know that so she saw it as her buying the aquarium and she was able to turn it into a weapon plus the fact her guilt controls how powerful the weapon is
And the best one for me is Denji got around his contract with Makima because he perceived eating her as an act of love instead of violence
There's other, more subtle things too like, the way all the contracts work and when Aki became the gun devil fiend and percieved Power and Denji and himself as kids playing a game
