I've recently been playing through Sonic Adventure 2 (the steam version cause I'm lazy and don't wanna deal with an emulator right now) and have fallen absolutely in love with the in-game ads. Now I'm not talking about the ads for other games or soap shoes (which all do work). I love just how within it's own world/wavelength this game is. every bit is made for you to get more and more sucked into it. it's very little but even a small detail can make the biggest difference in making you love something.
Just the idea that there's a company called "emerald notwork" in the sonic universe fills me with happiness to no end. every ad just sucks you into this game's world. it tells you so little makes you think about so much.
I love the ads for power-ups like they're products for humans instead of anthropomorphic hedgehogs. The fake movie posters are also amazing; I NEED TO SEE ALL THE CHAO BASED MOVIES and touch future all over.
