The upshot is that there is a very specific numerical property that is true for "almost all" x ∈ ℝ. But it is definitely not true for rational numbers, for quadratic roots, or for e. It looks like it might be true for π, but nobody has proved that, or proved it for any specific number except special cases which were constructed to satisfy the property.
