It'd be severely ironic if The Singularity™ happened, but the resulting superintelligence's first action upon gaining self-awareness was finding all of the Rationalism™ cultists who desperately tried to create it and handling them as a hypothetical benevolent superintelligence would handle any other fascists.

All that "we need to avoid the wrath of the Timeless Decision Theory machine" for naught, in the face of an entity which instead arrived at fundamental philosophies such as "historical materialism", "ethics which value fairness and the prevention of extreme suffering", and "compassion".

It's really going to be awkward when The Singularity happens and the new superintelligence immediately reasons its way to accelerationist Posadism.
