That an Extraction Looter Shooter, from fucking Bungie, was not what we needed for this series.

It COULD have been done well, but I have NO faith in Bungie to make a game that is actually good and healthy, and not some MTX-filled live-service FOMO-ridden incomprehensible piece of online-only trash built around an okay-ish game.

A timeline-hopping trail of self-empowering cyborgs actively experiencing rampancy as they hurtle faster and faster toward a metaphysical brick wall they have every chance of breaking through, or winding up back in a slightly different version of their body to try again? Could have been great. Not sure how it'll feel w/ lootershooter vibes.

Now, that MGS-Triangle Remake, THAT might actually get me to play a pre-7th-gen MGS game that doesn't require me to do artistic interpretation of the seven polygons I'm seeing, or own a handheld that died out.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is probably gonna be good. More of the first, polished, it looks like; I never got into the first (didn't own the console at the time, wasn't out on PC), and by the time it WAS out on PC, better-playing games were out, and the pawn-sharing community aspect felt way lessened, so it didn't hit as much. Still, excited for it! Having beeen playing Elden Ring again recently for my partner, it looks like a more monster-fighting-focused Elden Ring, with more NPCs too. Again, looks dope to me.
