#MS Paint World

In her tan appearance from Hidden Star in Four Seasons, it's Cirno the ice fairy from the Touhou series! She's associated with the number nine because the manual for the versus shmup in the series, Phantasmagoria of Flower Dream, has a diagram that labels her with the ol' nineball. So, 9/9 is her day! In HSIFS, she gets tanned because of overflowing magical power, but it's a cute look I haven't drawn enough, so here we go. Since it's also Dreamcast Day, Cirno recommends you play Zombie Revenge or Dynamite Cop.

From Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club and in a more casual look for her, it's Ayumi Tachibana, ace assistant detective! While she's not the person you play as for the most part in the game, her interrogation (via milk tea) and deductive skills are a big part of solving the mystery of the Smiling Man, and I just think she's really neat. Put her in the next Smash Bros., cowards! We all know she was briefly considered for Melee!

From Project Justice, it's Momo Karuizawa! It will not surprise you, in any way, to learn that Momo is my favourite Rival Schools character (although it's often a close race between her and Hinata, of course) because she is a horrible, awful, backstabbing little gremlin. No, really, she's one of the villains and is just the absolute worst. That means, in my book, she's good. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to her coming back to ruin the online experience for people when that new Capcom collection comes out next year!

From Loving Deads: The House of the Dead EX, it's Zobio (the big lug in the back) and Zobiko (the little one at the front)! They're zombies who've fallen in love and are on the run in the arcade-only mini-game lightgun game. I've only played the game once myself, very briefly at a retro game expo, but I was reminded of them because they were unlockable characters in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, alongside the likes of Bonanza Bros. and Jacky Bryant & Akira Yuki. Sure, they're the living dead, but they make a cute couple, huh? The background's inspired by the main art used on the arcade flyer for the game, sadly the pair do cover the blood streaks I went to the trouble of adding... Oh well.
