So here's a mech AU for Kurapika. Def inspired by friends at the table twilight mirage aesthetic. (& everything signet has going on)

partizan would have fitted their whole.... everything better (realized halfway through the drawing i couldve made them hypha) but TM was more fun to draw for me... and this is supposed to just be a little fun thing so!

the chains on them go inside their body through a hole in their chest and wrist. The divine def also has some chain shit going on inside.

also the translation of kurapika's 2011 character song has some kick ass sentences that could be an excerpt name like [Reverberating without a sound, like a flower holding its breath waiting for time] or [The sinners burdened heavily with the future they cannot atone for]

Wow, what a nice couple of episodes (HxH 37-38)

Especially so the first. It was honestly beautiful seeing Gon and Killua just being kids; just being friends.

Mito is great, her relationship with Gon is wonderful, love Killua's reactions to everything

Gon's confession to Killua, also his profession that Mito Is his mom

10/10 episode

And then we learn Killua's a Gamer™, get further confirmation that Ging sucks (and maybe Gon really shouldn't be racing after him)

And, I dunno Gon. I get that you love Mito, but, like, it wouldn't have hurt to learn at least a little bit about your real mom. Ging sounds like he sucks, but she might be okay, and had other circumstances preventing her from being in your life.

Last couple points, I realized I really like Mito's necklace

And I started to wonder, why were Kurapika and Leorio on Whale Island in the first episode? (Don't answer this if the show does later on)

afaik when looking into this stuff, the Kurapika backstory chapters all came out after what's covered in the anime, so it really is a question of if we end up doing any post-anime manga coverage. we have basically not discussed this at all and it's like 18 months out so i can't give you any real answers but if we decide against covering any manga, it would not be crazy to maybe sneak the kurapika stuff in as a bonus. my impression is that it's not very long, and im pretty sure they adapted the whole thing into a non canon movie which is something we could cover instead of the manga itself. it's really all an unknown at this point. glad you're enjoying the show!! it's been a blast so far
