Watched the last four episodes of what I have hear is "Season 1" of "Hunter Cross Hunter" (22-25)

Most jarring thing for me was the lack of/change in opening narration. No more narrator telling us what a hunter is(?), and after the 2nd of this batch it's replaced with telling us about this nice volcano where nothing bad will happen. It's pretty hilarious that the local tours just advertise that a family of assassins lives up there too

I'm continued to be impressed by the music. I especially liked the new track with the electric guitar, and a potentially returning one that seemed to be associated with Killua's family was also really good. Plus I like the remix of the intro theme that plays during the opening narration

One of the most heartbreaking moments was seeing Gon blame himself for Killua leaving

And seeing Killua's no good awful family was enlightening. I especially liked how even when we think the father is being genuine, we realize it's all still to ensure Killua comes back to be an assassin

And there was a black girl! Was not expecting a key character to be a person of color Or a woman! I would've been pissed had they killed her! Was pissed when I thought they had! Anyway I'm glad she's in the show and I like her character.

The rest of the episodes are already beginning to fade. Fun training arc, neat trials, more child torture, entertaining supporting characters, and the group has split up!

I'm guessing then ext couple will be a training arc, then we'll meet back up in YORKNEW CITY
