it occurred to me, back in college (8 years ago now) that there is really nothing stopping you from creating a Myst-like game in Powerpoint
upon investigation now, it seems as though the same is true of Google Slides, thanks to the following things being true:
- Shapes can become links to other slides in the same presentation
- Animations can be used to make shapes "Disappear (with previous)", therefore if the slide has no "previous" animations, your shapes will just vanish as soon as the slide is visible, but are still clickable as links
The only thing that I have not figured out yet, is that there is a property of a Slide in Powerpoint that prevents the slide from being advanced with a mouse click. I am unsure that such a property exists in Google Slides. (I suppose there's also no real allowances for the slideshow to have a "memory" either, so you can't really check or alter game states.)
