#Nuzlocke challenge

This team might look a little bit silly, but Lightningrod is actually fantastic in a Triple Battle, especially with Wailmer being the core of my team. Electrike can suck up those super effective Electric-type attacks, meaning only Grass type can threaten Wailmer. My usual game plan is for him and Flaafy to Thunder Wave the entire enemy team, then fire off multi-target Leer and Growl and dance around to dodge attacks while blubber buddy goes ham with Rollout and tanks the incoming hits with his huge HP pool. I'll pick up one more Pokemon and then it's on to gym one! I've also included a picture of the type of nonsense I've been dealing with...

Levels have been pumped up by 20% to account for extra XP, so I'm still just under the cap. If you want to try this mode out yourself, you can find the triple battle mod and instructions here: https://michaeldoescoding.net/tools/pokemon/gen5/triplebattles.html

  1. We finally have a fourth Pokemon to swap in when someone is in danger of dying! Finally, an alternative to spamming position switch while praying to God.
  2. Any water/flying is going to LOVE having a Lightningrod Pokemon on the field.
  3. Bet you didn't know this: A flying-type move can hit any Pokemon in a triple battle, regardless of range! So can any "pulse" move, and Wingull will learn Water Pulse pretty soon. He can be our backup and will be able to snipe key enemies while remaining out of their reach.

We are off to a less than incredible start, having rolled this most sassy Oddish, whom I will name Fern. Due to his limited moveset he was able to struggle our rival's Bellossom to death after exchanging one-damage Absorb and Mega Drains to PP exhaustion and then spending 20 turns using Sweet Scent. Actually, more like 30 turns since he was paralyzed the entire time. You have to admire his tenacity!

I will check back in when I've assembled our first trio.
