#Phoe Squeaks

Recently bought a TWSBI Eco (frankly I should have gone with a Diamond 580 for the increased ease of disassembly and the fact I can easily replace the nib on it. It will be one of my next purchases lol) as a pen to use a bunch of the ink samplers I recently purchased. They're almost entirely shimmering, sheening, or other Kinda Unique inks, and I used most (at least all that i can reasonably get out of the bottle w/o an inkwell or tools designed for grabbing the last bits of ink out of a bottle, also something i will be purchasing) of my Diamine Mystique. It's a charming ink, deep purple with gold shimmer, although I find it needed encouragement in my Eco to actually lay down any shimmery bits. This may just be a natural fact of shimmer inks, or of the Eco, or mayhaps I didn't shake it well enough when I was using it, or some number of variables I didn't account for because This Is The First Time I'm Trying A Shimmering Ink, Okay? Either way, when it did cooperate (and frankly even when it didn't), it's an incredibly pretty ink. Definitely something I would consider using again, ESPECIALLY if I were to use, say, and italic/stub nib. I'm allowing my Eco to soak right now, but the next ink I try out is thanks to the decision of a very charming dragongirl, it's Colorverse Quasar! I'm excited, it will be the first sheening ink I try, and I think the colors are VERY pretty on it. I have heard warnings of it potentially staining the inside of the reservoir, though I noticed no staining with the Mystique despite being very similar shades. In addition, with the fact I'll basically only be using it for a day or two assuming I use it as frequently as I did the Mystique, it shouldn't stain too strongly! Either way, I'm not too concerned if the barrel of this pen gets stained, while it is a demonstrator and is designed to be see-through and pretty and stuff, it's also a pen, at the end of the day. If I'm truly concerned by the time I use it however, I'll simply put it in one of my LAMYs and use that pen as the tester for this specific ink! :)

definitely some rust to shake off and stuff, already see a lot of things i'd edit on that doodle, but y'know what? it's fine! my doodles don't have to be perfection incarnate, nor does my actual art!!! it's okay!!!

also really like the decision to use a softer brush, it's good doodling and should work well for actual arts too :>
