#Phorm the Vixdjinn

When I joined CoHost in late 2022, I honestly didn't know what to expect. I knew that the rest of the internet was rapidly becoming inhospitable, but I was also uncertain if I could find a place here. I've historically had all manner of issues finding anywhere that I'm comfortable, even in online spaces.

It took me a while to find my comfort zone here, but eventually I did sort of start to settle in. Maybe even thrive a little? CoHost felt unique to me. A place where I was able to be myself, interact more with friends old and new, and try new things. It didn't matter what I was doing: I posted about retro gaming microcomputers. I delighted in the knowledge and long-posts of others. I wrote awful filk. I posted my own interpretation of a personal mythology. I dusted off my decades-old fiction, and found enthusiasm and personal meaning in writing again.

Now, here we are at the end, and like so many others, I don't know if I'll ever find a place quite like this. I will certainly acknowledge that CoHost had some issues. Yet nevertheless, it was still quite special. I'm scared, honestly. I fear I'm going to lose momentum, lose contact, lose connection. Disappear, yet again.

If you're looking for where I'll be there are a few places, but I'm afraid we're all going to be fragmented and scattered. Such is life, sadly. But just because it's coming to an end, that doesn't mean we can't appreciate what we had.

Thank you all for letting me explore. Thank you for letting me be myself. Sharing this time with you all, however brief, was wonderful. I cherish this space, and this time, we all had together. I'm going to miss you all tremendously.

I know it's corny, I know it's weird: But thanks for letting me be your genie, CoHost.

Please take care.

Warmth and Wishes to you all.

You get three, so what'll it be? Let's have some fun!

I know I've posted this before, but for whatever reason the version of this commission I've had in my library has always been lower quality and jpeg-crispy. This morning I found the high quality version at last, and just couldn't resist sharing it! This is, of course, where my avatar comes from.

This piece was a commission from the artist DVixie, and I adore it to pieces. Look how happy I am!! Look at my little fangies!! Look at that smoke tail!! Look how genie I am!! (Yes, I know I'm a dork. But still!)

(Unfortunately, the original upload of this piece, and indeed the artist's entire gallery, have been purged from the internet. Otherwise, I would link to give credit in a heartbeat!)
