- The Comedy
The concept of an agent of chaos entering the life of a normie is old. Old in anime, and old in comedy. It's the basis of every East Asian stand up comedy routine and it's the equivalent of yelling, "Whasssaaaaap!" into the phone. Nothing new or noteworthy here.
- Shikairo Days and the Dance
This is how they teach babies in Japan. I know because I used to teach babies in Japan. It was a fun job because babies are cute. I taught them The ABC Song by doing a simple dance with them, like this and many other anime dances. No, there is no footage. Anyway, I'm not saying liking the theme and doing the dance puts you on par with a Japanese baby... Directly.
- The Animation
Only assholes care about this. But if you want to look into the genre of "Cute girls doing cute things" there are a lot cuter girls doing, well, the exact same cute things. As mentioned above, nothing in Nokotan is new.
- Okay, You Hate It. So Why You Yapping?
You know that concept of turning off your brain and just letting the stupid wash over you? Like watching a Steven Chow kung-fu movie or listening to an Electric Callboy song? Nokotan is the Perfect Cell form of this concept. The whole thing is like an old friend who never learnt any new jokes since 1992 but you feel great in their company.
I'm five episodes in. I'll probably watch it til the end.
