i've learned not to pick fights on twitter so this is going here. it really pisses me off to see so many posts about 'don't EVER compare my art to ANYONE else's or ANY existing media' because it belies such a profound insecurity.

just because someone says 'this reminds me of X' doesn't mean they're saying you're a hack or stealing or whatever. they're making a connection- probably to something they like.

nobody on this earth is original. don't pretend that you have zero influences.

Anyone know what's up with MS Paint sometimes entering a state where just moving your mouse over parts of the drawing will move pixels around?
