How are non-Fallout fans liking the Fallout show? I'm in that group and having finished it I'm kinda just meh on it?

Arcane, Castlevania, and Witcher were all similar for me -- minimal if any experience w/ the games -- but I really enjoyed each of them. Fallout feels like there's just too much lore and world context that I'm missing. They constantly do these long shots/pauses on things that feel like fan service which I just won't be able to get w/o playing the games.

It's miles better than the dogshit Halo show (a series I am super familiar with), and the production value is definitely there. But I just wasn't that invested in the world or characters.

sometimes I want to make an account dedicated solely to going through articles and reports and papers that headlines get spread around and giving a nuanced look into whether its actually as bad as people say (this morning I spent an hour going through the “Millennials and Gen Z's trendy new splurge: groceries” article that did numbers and the report it’s based on and now I’m mad about it for a different reason) but then I try and type up posts about this shit and they end up the length of an essay and I really don’t think anybody want to read the background of the #cringe article that got a screenshot of it’s title reposted

especially because half the time my conclusion ends up being “yes you were right to be mad, but you missed a lot of details so you’re being mad at the wrong thing”
