How does alt text work in HTML? On my site, I’ve been adding alt text to images like so:

<img src="images/cool_image" alt="A really, really cool image">

Now, unlike Cohost, if I hover over the images I don’t see the alt text. If I enable my systems screen reader, it’ll not read out the alt text. Am I doing something wrong here?

It’s still under constructing, but it looks way better than before, lol. I used the Zonelets theme, which is specifically designed for blogs!!
Stuff I wanna have in the future include: a guestbook, a blorbo shrine, some kind of RSS feed, comments (maybe?). I’m gonna play around with it a lot more, but eventually most of my chosts are gonna move there!
