I take no effort to hide my disgust and anger at this site. However it is worth noting that I've met a lot of cool folks here, many of whom remain friends to this very day. Cohost was responsible for me discovering Empty Spaces which in turn was responsible for me discovering my own gender identity. As much as I think cohost is (and now, was) a site plagued by a sycophantic community that harassed and bullied anyone who didnt fit in away, I cannot deny that it has had a profoundly positive impact on me.

I did not think that in 2024 I would be sad over a website no longer existing but here we are. I genuinely fucking loved cohost, despite not being the most active of it's users. It was so nice to have a social media that felt like it was made to be social, and not for profit. I honestly wouldn't have minded if cohost increased it's means of monetisation somehow just to keep this great place up but what's done is done.
I am going to miss this place so much. I was planning (and starting) to post updates on my game, in a casual way that wouldn't work on the attention grabbing nature of other socials. No clue where to do that now if it's even possible to do that anymore.
And on top of that I have not had one bad interaction on here. Everyone I've talked to has been amazing and I will miss you all.....
