Finally decided to post my first carving project! I'm very happy with how he turned out. I've seen people make similar projects where the ridges can be used to hold up paintbrushes, and while his aren't built for that and the brush slides off, I'm considering giving it another go and making some practical looking ridges. also, he's perfectly sized to fit in my palm so I can run my thumb along his back when I'm trying to focus. Perfect little gator.

I like the way this animation shows how easily a highly ordered fractal can collapse into chaos, it only takes a subtle tweak of the parameters to get a radically different output.

this is part of a series I made last January that I never posted anywhere. Actually, I forgot about them until I found the files last night. >_<
