Ok, yes, I know they still exist but not anywhere near what they used to. They were huge in the 1950s and 60s, but they started dying off in the 1980s, and now there's only about 300 left in the states. COVID killed off a lot of them, but I, for one, would love to see them make a comeback.
There's 2 of them near where I live, one closed back in 2012, the other closed much more recently in 2021. The older of the two was 90% demolished over the years, but the screen still stands. Maybe someone could buy them up and reopen them?
Eh, wishful thinking, I'm sure, but that would be so cool.
