One of mine is this 2013 Deadspin piece by Jeb Lund about horse racing's image problem. I can pull it up any time I've reached the end of my social feeds and have a great time. Lund's always been a terrific writer - him and Dan O'Sullivan are also responsible for writing Andrew Brietbart: Big Deal, Big Coronary, Big Corpse, which is another of my favorite comfort longreads and (in my opinion) is responsible for forever changing the tenor of how huge pieces of shit like Brietbart get talked about after death. But the horse racing piece has always especially stuck with me.
Anyone else have things like that? Articles and essays you carry around with you like a photo in a locket? If so you have to tell me what they are
she is my mom's cat and her name is lulu and i'm living with my mom (and her husband, my sister, and my niece) now and we are already friends!!! i just met her a couple days ago and the first time i started to pet her, she immediately started purring and rubbing her head against my hand and stuff. also earlier tonight i was petting her and she did the thing cats do where they roll onto their back as a sign of trust!!!
i see, and what is with the zh thing?
ive noticed alot if not all of you replacing th with zh, is this a quirk of the yinglet species?
(also the space agency thing looks coool, no idea what any of it means (braining is hard :P) but is looks very interesting)
we have a toozh right at zhe front of our mouzh zhat stops us from putting our tongues out to make a "th" sound
as for why i type it out - i'm zherian and species validation is hard to come by
ah ok, would you happen to have a yinglet diagram somewhere, and are there any general yinglet behaviors and/or triggers i should be aware of?
(also do yinglets like headpats or does it varies from yinglet to yinglet?)
i'm not sure what you mean by "yinglet diagram" but in general we REALLY like clams (i'm an exception, i like shrimp) and gluten does not play nice wizh our digestive system
general behaviors are... difficult to pin down. a lot of us tend to embody zhe "chaos critter" energy but a lot of times zhat gets interpreted as us being dumb which i've been trying to fight against for a bit now - i'm still very much chaos critter zhough (it's very fun)
if a yinglet zhrows a green rock at you, duck
ask before touching any sentient creature. i do like headpats and you may pat me
