That's right everyone, it's time for Dirty Pair: The Movie or Dirty Pair: Project E.D.E.N for those of us in the United States. A movie that's long on style and short on plot, we try to talk around the fact that the plot isn't that compelling and make no secret of the fact that Carson D. Carson kinda sucks and Kei can do better, I mean Yuri is dancing right over there.
Here's the thing, lords and ladies and sometimes and maybes, this episode was a pain in the ass to edit together. Just a lot of me listening to myself talk and wanting to die and cutting some forty minutes of pauses, repeated words, digressions that go nowhere, and then finding the time to add in that one scene from Spaceballs, you'll know the one.
Anyway, we'll be back at the beginning of August with the final Special Presentation, wherein we discuss uh.... Flight OO5 Conspiracy and bring this era of the Dirty Pair to a close.
Then we'll go back and do the Dirty Pair 2 OVA series, because it rules and is a way better capstone to Kei and Yuri's adventures than Flight 005 Conspiracy. Look forward to it!
