read year 1 here!

very excited to post this as well! tangled blessings got away from me. in year 1 you can't tell because i was still a little bit normal about the characters i created, but in year 2 (which i'll post in a few days' time!) i really hit my groove. once again mothwin delivers incredible, tantalizing prompts which were a joy to work with and spin lore out of. i quite literally ordered the print version of the book mid-game, i was having so much fun.

the story this time follows an awkward young twenty something named elodie, her brilliantly wild rival millie, and a sweet-but-troubled healer named adalgard. adalgard sneaks up on you. you'll understand later.

wild facts that likely won't be immediately apparent: an early version of elodie appears in my carved by the garden run, which is why she's Like That. she grew a lot as i was journaling - some of my answers to the questions tangled blessings gives you at the beginning of play no longer feel quite appropriate! however, just for funsies, i'll post them here.

year 2 is here!

the truly spooky stuff starts this year, and i begin to grow unhinged about them. mind the tags! more spoilery commentary under the cut.

The Guardian said, “Named for the drummer and Freedman’s one-time housemate, this energetic song is filled with sleazy guitar, jangling piano and a breathless account of life in Sydney that is bewildering to Whitlams fans living anywhere else.

tim freedman recently released an album under black stump - his new alt-country project - which included some covers of whitlams songs. of course, no aphrodisiac made the cut, being the band's most popular song.

but there's one little issue

The Whitlams

Forty, shaved, sexy, wants to do it all day

With a gun-totin', trigger-happy tranny named Kinky Renée

how do you suppose they fixed it?
