#The Magnificent Ambersons
in bed, depressed, running The Magnificent Ambersons ~Chara
We're on the far side of this famous scene from Orson Welles's The Magnificent Ambersons: the human mind has been changed in subtle ways because of automobiles.
Now what?

It sure is a pretty film about uninteresting rich people in an era it seems to assume I'd care about. Maybe there was something in the original cut, but I don't see much in what you can actually watch. The script honestly seems rather dull, and I'm not sure how much you can do to save that. I think this is my least favorite Welles film so far. Mr. Arkadin/Confidential Report and The Lady from Shanghai are both messes, but they're at least compelling messes.
