So...you reminded me that I saw a Scarlet Pimpernel movie in grade school at some point, and it seems that it was the 1982 film. Which means that I got to see Ian McKellen play a straight guy...huh. ~Chara

just remembered that in high school I watched The Scarlet Pimpernel (1934) at like 3 in the morning during a black and white movie block on a channel, probably TMC, and I instantly has a huge crush on Leslie Howard and then later I got so sad when I found out he died after being shot down by the fucking Luftwaffe
