Room 8/4 is lit by pale ceiling lamps surrounded by iridescent moths. Tiny tables and chairs, long benches, and cozy reading nooks dot the room. A large desk sits in-front of the door leading south past one of the briar walls. On the desk is a small bell and a large, mallet-like stamp. The desk is manned by a small, Red Capped Hob - Mr. Reese. The tiny desk librarian shushes any adventurers who make noise entering the space. If adventurers are polite, Mr. Reese answers basic questions about this part of the Tower, but sends for a messenger to notify the Banshee of the adventurer's presence after they leave. If adventurers are noisy or rude, he rings the bell for help and then starts attacking them with the stamp.
#The Tree & The Tower
Rows of large branches, tree trunks, and logs line the floor of room 8/3. The wood is covered in brackets of edible mushrooms. Between them is mounds of loam with flowers blooming from them. The flowers have very strong opinions about which mushrooms go best with which meals, and they share these loudly with any visitors.
An arch cut into the northern wall of room 8/2 leads outside, where thick, rope-like vines provide a curving, climbable route to room 7/30 below. Inside, a pair of sprites lean against a sweet smelling, flower-covered gazebo. The two sprites - one a bundle of leafy twigs, the other a hedgehog-like bush - awkwardly wear small helms and fiddle with simple spears. The two shoot-the-shit, bored with their bound task, unless adventurers appear, at which point they nervously snap to attention and debate what they're supposed to do next as guards.
Room 8/1 is blocked-off. The stairwell meets a wall of regenerating briars if one heads down a floor. The door out is similarly blocked off. The area is quiet and the dust is still, and has been since the Banshee sealed it off.
