Room 6/19 returns to the central stairwell of the Tower, which remains intact. Space has been carefully carved through the stairwell where the Tree intersects with it, and steps and wall have been carved out of the wood to replace damaged stone. The stairs lead up, but also down to whatever remains of the floor below.
#The Tree & The Tower
Room 6/18 is open to the air, as large chunks of the Tower fell away ages ago. The floor is unstable from years of fire damage exposure to the elements. Holes in the floor give a way down to the remnants of the Tower that still cling to the bottom of the Tree, but getting up may be risky as any weight on the floorboards threatens to break them.
The Tree gives way to room 6/17 of the Tower. Extending up to the ceiling, and possibly through, is a lance of fire. All through the room, flames burn hot, but do not seem to consume the floor. A song emanates from the flaming spear, and the song pulls on one to grab it.
If an adventurer touches it, they take fire damage from the spear. If the damage kills them, their body is consumed and a Fiery Lick is born in their place. If they survive, they may make a Saving Throw vs Death. On a success, they pull the spear forth and can wield it as Flamecrackle. If they fail, they cannot try to pull it out again - each adventurer can only try once, barring some fantastical occurrence.
Just making this post to mark I got this entry done. I had a busy day and need to crawl to bed, so will have to try and type something more meaningful up tomorrow. As it is, I realized a lot of stuff I hadn't considered with this floor and probably need to work through that in the morning, when I am more awake.
