Why is it that whenever i tell my coworkers that i dislike tiktok their immediate thought is to jump to casual sinophobia. I promise you i have a big pretentious rant about how much i hate its effect on the internet and China appears in 0% of it
9/25 down. I'm gonna need a lot more non-fiction in the future though
There are a couple of left-theory books that I still have lying in wait in the ebook collection, plus a couple of fun-topic informational things that I just didn't finish for whatever reason [looking directly at "Why You Like It," having to jump between links on my e-reader was really annoying]. Onward
I had stopped in the middle of it for whatever reason, but I seemed to appropriately stop in the middle right before a really captivating climax. Really refreshing hard-boiled noir fiction, even if a lot of the plot beats and foreshadowing felt a little obvious to me.
Desperately though, whenever I pick up the next Kenzie & Geranno novel (it'll be a minute, i've got a backlog to clear!) I really hope we get anything from Angie's perspective. On one hand it might be for the best that we only get Patrick's POV, Lehane is really good at writing him. On the other hand, she's the other half of the duo! It'd be cool to see what goes on in her head through all this gruesomeness. If i see it in the next novel and it's bad then at least I know that Lehane tried.
