Replaying the Ace Attorney series from start to finish and with the context of later entries it's very funny that Phoenix Wright's sad backstory is "Kids at my school were mean to me so I became a lawyer" and not "My girlfriend framed me for killing her ex-boyfriend in college."

Like I don't want to downplay the effects of childhood bullying but the dude almost got executed. They hung his girlfriend for that one.
