#action figures

Busy day in a busy week.
If you have plans with family this weekend, I hope you have fun!

Here's a very quick picture of our setup in the living room.

There should be a lot of familiar faces in here!

And of course, it's all ready for a dusting again. Even after all the dusting and rearranging we did last month. Anyone else fed up with dust? Or have any good tips for reducing dust? Let us know down below!

Kamen Rider Genm arrives on the scene ~

I've actually shown a few figures from the Kamen Rider SAGA line before (on the gallery sites)but I've never given any of them a proper post. So here's a quick background -

Kamen Rider SAGA was a line of 4-inch tall poseable figures from 2016. These were a little taller than the Shodo line (which was running at the same time, and is still running today) and featured bigger sculpts and enhanced poseability. Their signature articulation being the double ball and socket joints for the shoulders - which offers an impressive range of motion.

The line ran for a few years and featured some interesting releases - like the Manga version Kuuga I've shown before. Eventually, the line would quietly slow down - with the occasional P-Bandai release still coming out. A lot of the best ideas from the line would be incorporated into Shodo NEO.

This might not be Kuroto Dan's most famous form, but it's got that classic evil Rider vibe. Great colors, too. But I'm a sucker for purple.

Oh, and to follow up on that intro line - we all know Decade is the real ultimate Shocker Rider.

Quick Shots

Soon after the premier of Dragon Ball Super, Banpresto released a line of WCF toys dedicated to Vegeta's many faces and pratfalls. From Vegeta with a pacifier stuck in his mouth, to Vegeta with an octopus wrapped around his face.

This figure is based on the scene where Vegeta tries to cook takoyaki for Beerus (in a bid to save the world from destruction, of course)

This isn't the first time Vegeta has put his cooking skills to the test. On one of the (Japanese only) soundtrack CDs, Vegeta hosts a very competitive cooking segment - preparing okonomiyaki and singing.

It's a beloved bit from the extended Dragon Ball universe - especially if you grew up watching the show as it aired in Japan. Not only is it a reference to that classic gag, it's also a great toy. Well sculpted and excellent paint, as we've come to expect from Banpresto.
