good morning from a much cleaner van!
#adVANture
moved the seats to my apartment temporarily, then spent all day cutting up then bagging the shitty plywood/carpet walls that were on the van before, and then removing the floorboard and cutting up and bagging that, and now i'm kinda exhausted but at least i'll be able to work more comfortably. well, as soon as i can get rid of the trash (on monday, collection is tuesday here)
otoh, once you remove all the trash, it's now almost fully empty, which rules
also yeah there's a couple of welded metal plates on the floor and I need to have a look from underneath to see what's up with those, but I think they're just reinforcement on top of the original floor and not covering up a hole (they're installed where the seats were bolted)
(there's some rust on them but it's very clearly only surface rust) so, yeah. dunno if i'll remove them, I could cut the welds, they're just tacks.
also i checked the obd2 codes and it says there's a lean mix in bank 1, so i'll check the intake, o2 sensor, MAF, and cat tomorrow
removed all of the steel plates they had put on there, cut them to pieces. next goal is to remove the slats on the floor (they are glued down with a weird black glue??), sand away the rust, jb weld the holes, and paint over the whole thing
i'm leaving for france on sunday, so i'll stay at this for now, and i'll start again when i come back at the beginning of august! happy with this progress
oh i also, started putting in the first studs! and some insulation in the doors! and the most important sticker...
