The spirit took me, and I brought out my markers and drew a bathing beauty.

I'm unsure if I should tag this as adult because I wasn't in that space while I drew it, but I would prefer to be respectful of other users. If you think I should change it to be tagged as such, let me know.

I usually work from the figure out but this time I did the set dressing first and worked my way back in, as a way to sort of ensure that I would actually draw it. It was fun to make texture with lots of short strokes.

I find a lot of modern marker guides from today are very committed to smooth coloring and blends, and I'm not sure that's the best use of the tools. It seems to me that older marker drawings from yore were a lot less concerned about visible streaks and strokes and I wonder if maybe they had the right idea. The character of the tool is a lot more present.
