but seriously this is really, really straightforward and powerful for me. it captures the warmth that falling in love with someone brings while having a draining sense of self behind the eyes as you give more of yourself and it never being enough. really good synth work and integration of reverb to create a dreamy texture while the vocals soar above the rest

just found out that the lead singer of Alvvays is one of The Rankins, like the Inverness Rankins. this won't mean anything to most people on the website but for anyone like me it's a very entertaining fact to learn
