Unfortunately the hinge is still loose and won't stay up though, but at least I have a working screen again! I might come back to it later to see if I can do something about the hinge to have it stay up, but this thing is a pain in the butt to open, so I'm saving that for another day.

There was one weird dude who was making replacements for about $65 for years now, but he only accepted crypto payments for some dumb reason. Thankfully you can find it at other places for just $20 these days. If you know of an eMate that has a non-functional screen, it's worth a shot to try and replace it!

There’s not a lot it can access right now with the NewtHopper browser, but I’m going to try some other browsers to see if I have more success
