this is something i've been meaning to do for a long time, but it's about time i actually get on it.

i am now available to commission for collage work.

what will i make for you? just about anything digital collage-based that isn't bigoted or hardcore fetish stuff (no judgement on the fetish stuff but it's not what i'm looking for in art requests right now.) themes, color, imagery, whatever, go deep and be wild. i'll even cut up images you give me if you want to see them used, as long as you have permission to use them. (ie public domain, creative commons but no noncommercial, stuff you own.) and once complete, you have permission to use and reuse and reedit what i make for you as you see fit, as long as you give me credit for what i've made.

also for the heck of it i'm opening up some three card tarot readings. ask me anything about your future or past and i'll tell you about a spread, the cards i drew, and what they mean in their space and in relation to each other, and maybe help you think about things in ways you hadn't. i wonder if commiss.io will yell at me for doing a thing that isn't technically an art commission? but isn't art all about new ways to think and explore anyway

so, what are your options? it's $40 for a small piece, $70 for a large piece, and $5 for a tarot reading. you can pay extra if you want, and i may expect you to pay extra if you ask me to use a lot of specific images.

at the moment, there's no limit on slots, if you all buy a lot i may have to turn that on, but we'll see for now. Pieces will come out first come first served, and will take some time. I will make sure to show you at least one close to complete piece for your evaluation before finishing it up.

tldr: if i make $300 from sales of collages over the next four weeks, i'll give a free large collage to someone who wants one, drawn at random. if i make $500, i'll give a second free large collage to a second person who wants one.

the long version:

ok, it turns out i am definitely probably going to gdc this year! and i'm kinda broke and have one month to get some cash. i'd love to get that money by doing some commissions! as such, it is time to start a fundraiser or fundraiser-like thing.

the financial situation: expo pass, lodging, and plane tickets are already secured and paid for. not currently covered: money for food on the go and transit.

anything will help, but i'm looking for at least $300 to make sure i have the basics covered for the week and a half i'll be there. $500 would be ideal but not necessary.

with some commissions i've already done this year, i have $120 to start. to reach $300, i'd need five small collages (priced at $40 each), or four with some tarot readings. alternatively, three large commissions ($70 each) would be enough to put me over. pick a size/price that fits you and it will work out.

the extrinsic motivation part: from today, february 14 until wednesday, march 13, i'll be counting up money, and if i break $300 in money from commission work i'll hold a raffle: anyone on this site who enters their name will have the chance to win a free large collage commission. one winner! if i break $500, i'll draw two winners. you don't have to buy a commission to join in.

i am not in dire straits. money is really important for me right now but i'm not worried about being in any danger of losing a home or worsening health. if you just want to give someone money, look through cohost's mutual aid tag and help someone who needs it more. sharing this around will help a lot.
