february 2024’s monthly zine, « EMBLEM OF MEMORY », is a small 16-page booklet printed in black ink on newsprint, housed in a color matchbook made from a closeup print of one of my collages. the pages use retranscribed text from an antique public domain book about the language of flowers for a dreamy effect. rather than using cut-ups directly from a book as usual, i typeset the text myself this time.
a big goal for this year is to grow the subscriber base for this project a bit. i'm a queer nonbinary working artist with disabilities related to mental health, and this project helps build a baseline of stability in my life while continuing to prioritize growth in my creative practice. it is a sizable endeavor to create a new publication with all-new work every four weeks--and i've been doing it since november 2020, without fail! your support makes these explorations possible--if you're interested in my work and what i do here, i would be most grateful if you'd consider supporting this project for $5 or $10/mo usd (i can mail anywhere in the world). thank you!

hi there! going to get started on printing and assembling these in the coming week. my housemate and i have had some unexpected financial events recently (loss of income, veterinary costs for our cats, etc) and it would be awesome to grow the subscribership of this project a bit. that income helps a lot, and i try to make it worth your while at $5-$10 a month! if you've considered supporting this project in the past, it is a great time to do so. many thanks and much love!
First, I drew a bulky cyan dinosaur alien looking dour. Fortunately, one of my previous creature designs showed up to the club with some personalization and saw the dino looking lonely. Now the mood has lifted and the two men are set to dance the night away. All's well that ends well. 💙❤️
i want spring to come so badly
