I wanted to draw anthro-wolf link today (original design by Marc Knelsen, here's what I believed to be his first iteration).
I'm not satisfied with the result, I kept trying to correct it and the less I felt like it was working. I somehow spent around an hour and a half on this.
This might have been a bit too much to try my hand at, taking into account I have zero training nor knowledges of human's nor wolfe's anatomy, even less anthro's...
I guess there's a start to everything, I definitely want to get better, I want to be able to do my boy justice someday. I'm not done with him yet.

I just had a drawing revelation that thousands of drawers have probably already had: the reason smooth lines are way harder for me to do in digital than on paper is because pencil on paper has a higher drag/resistance level, versus a stylus against a screen where it can just sort of slide and jitter all over the place

I do really hate having jitters and shaky hands, it makes art harder to do. I just get so envious seeing other artists seemingly effortlessly have digital brushstrokes that are just smooth and nice - and without delay!

though it seems like I'm also just using software that does stablisation in a different way? like in krita, what I use, the stabiliser has a delay of a pixel radius you can set, where the higher the radius, the smoother the stroke, but at the cost of more delay. I'm watching an artist draw digital and they're using a program with a stabliser that doesn't have any delay. WTF!! I want that so bad!! wtf is happening, I need that in my life and idk what it's called or how to get it or how to even form the query to lead me on the path to finding it and just, aaaaaaa

so please, if anyone knows what I'm talking about, please please share your secrets!!

currently debating between buying a computer and getting a haircut! this is a serious decision and i'd like your thoughts

okay, i've purchased the computer. now i am broke but would also very much like to have money for a haircut. so it's time for me to start doing some commissions

does anyone have any good recommendations for a way to set up commissions for someone who does weird collage art? 99% of people i see selling commissions are people doing illustrations so i am not sure that just doing what they do is a good idea, so guidance is appreciated!
