In spite of this being the second worst, year, financially, I've ever had as an artist (2016 still takes it), I still managed to work on a lot of projects I really cared about and love. Here are 8 of my favourites from this year, from the stuff that I'm actually allowed to show at this point. Shout out to Girl by Moonlight, I could honestly have done about 2 full grids of just my work from that project. And shout out also to the Pale Dot cover that I accidentally matched with.

not to be that annoying guy* but I still think cohost could really do with a media tab. tagging stuff and pinning tags on my profile is nice and works mostly, but how do I know folks are coming here and clicking that little tag to look at my art? A long feed of posts divided into pages is never gonna be as efficient and easy to look through art as a grid of images that the user could curate themselves and define what they want there (art) or don't want there (cat pics or screenshots or whatever).
I'm so mad twitter finally got a decent change made to it after several mass exoduses of artists from that platform (which were totally justified, I stuck around because I'm an idiot), the media tab looks like a grid now, links to youtube don't appear there anymore and it's incredibly easy to browse and look at art now, I've been really enjoying looking at my own and finding stuff I wanna reshare so I can get more eyes on it because maybe I posted it at a bad time, so people haven't seen a thing, that's normal in all social media platforms and that's something artists need to do on the regular. when I try and do that here I have to click the little tag and there's the long feed, so I can reshare a few of the recent ones but going back takes time to scroll, clicking to go to the next page, etc. this might seem petty and stupid but that's why I don't reshare my older work here as often, it takes time to find stuff because of how it's laid out and displayed in front of me, on twitter now I can scroll, see a thumbnail, click it and there I can reshare it immediately. I know the vibe is different here and I genuinely like that about posting here, just think it would be nice if it were easier to do the whole online artist thing on cohost.
