An Abyssal Error occurs when a Wandering attempts to spread Void over an area. However, the Void usually will not spread very far due to being evaporated by light. Any remaining Void is then referred to as an Abyss, a much smaller, enclosed Void. Furthermore, it is referred to as an "error" because it can only be an Abyss as opposed to a full Void.

Abyssal Errors usually start off as flat circles that slowly spread out, but given enough time, they'll start to grow upward and form mountains that start to move in one direction as opposed to all directions as their previous circle shape attempted to. They are black and goopy, much like oil and seem to constantly fold in on themselves, even when their movement has stopped.

On one occasion, the Wanderings, often solitary in their travels, managed to all meet in one area and with their combined presence was able to spread Void far faster than the light was able to melt it away. As a result, a large Abyssal Error took shape over several miles and was only stopped by a single Ring of Salt. As Abyssal Errors only move in one direction after growing to a certain size, so long as this Ring of Salt reminds, the Error cannot spread. However, despite this, the initial circle spread out far enough to warrant the evacuation of a village.
