Today is the start of the new design project: Timeless Engine: The Wonderful Details, in which I drew mascots for various business in this mascot-laden world. While I had Preenup's outfit in mind, I wasn't sure how I wanted to design her head, so I went searching for different styles and drew them out to see how I felt about them.

I really liked the open mouth of the top Easter bunny head and its head shape in general, but I wasn't too found of the ears. The DOUBT rabbit head has a unique shape and floppy ears, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for (I added the neck and bowtie because I know I want Preenup to wear either a bowtie or tie). Max from Max and Ruby also has an interesting shape, especially with his ears and the fourth bunny had interesting eyes, but the empty mouth was a little off putting. I ended up going with Easter Bunny 1, but changed the ears. I might go back and make them floppy like the DOUBT ears, but she looks cute with these. The cheeks and puff of hair add to her cuteness.

Now that I've got a basic head shape for her, I can reflect it in the other mascots that call for a similar head since all of them seem to be made by the same company, Timeless Engine.

Preenup's name comes from the word preen, which means making yourself look nice and then admiring yourself. She's the mascot for a salon. I plan on giving her a pair of scissors to go along with the theme.

These is the first time I've drawn her and I already love her so much.
