My loading screen illustrations for Fortnite! I did my Professional Post about it on Twitter, so I'll be a little more indulgent and personal here. Epic was... amazing to work with. They paid me what I was worth (a truly novel experience), valued my time and efforts, tried their best to give me as much creative freedom as possible while doing what they could to protect me from licensors being absurdly nitpicky and demanding PAST DEADLINE, and being generally lovely, polite, grateful, and friendly folks to worth with. The first illustration is 1000% Epic letting me do whatever, and then Avatar Studios stepped in with lots of feedback for the second illustration that kind of drove me nuts.

In any case, I'm happy these are finally out in the world. Lined up nicely with a surprise 5-year royalty check drop from Dark Horse for my work on the Korra comics and all the prints of the different editions that were published over the past handful of years, which was a much-needed windfall. Man. Crazy to think I started that gig 8 years ago... I've grown a helluva lot as an artist since then!
