Hi! I'm Denise aka ritabuuk! In light of recent events on Tumblr, I've decided to give Cohost a try. I plan to share my artworks and also updates about my websites and related programming projects.

Artwise, lately I like to make sort of iconographic-ish limited-color-palette designs. And also lots of Pokémon fanart. Here on Cohost, I'll probably be posting a lot of my older favorite artwork for awhile, interspersed with anything new I make. You can also see all my art at my personal art site.

And speaking of websites, I'm doing my part to give power to the old-web energy. My Mew and Mewtwo fansite Copy Cat has been online since 2001. Some new essays about Mewtwo Strikes Back are in the works that I will be publishing soon!

Staircase Spirit is a blog-like review-ish fansite-incubator writing-archive whatever-we-want that my wife Rosy and I create collaboratively. Among other things, we have a lot of articles about old-school Pokémon, the weird The Sims handheld spin-off games, and an episode-by-episode review as we rewatch the Detective Conan anime from the beginning.

And I suppose that's enough for now, but let me give one more shout-out to my wife Rosy who is also new on Cohost. Along with all her other art and other projects, she makes a gorgeous webcomic that is my favorite story that I've ever read, The Gifts of Darkness. I love it so much, it's hard to form coherent words about it. For now, let me give you the blurb: Most people don't become apprentice sorcerers at 23 years old, but that's the path Adrien finds himself taking, even if he doesn't quite know what he's doing. He sets out to meet his new mentor, the sorcerer Valerion, who becomes his guide in magic and in life. Together, they begin to understand and accept who they are, and they learn to embrace the darkness that makes both true honesty and true love possible.

Thanks for reading! And I am looking forward to meeting new friends here on Cohost!
