- "AKA I swear to god he is actually green there
Seeing the "flat" colour right beside it probably makes that fact more obvious but listen Haru does not look green under the blacklight. I noticed immediately.
I even asked someone else what colour they thought the skintone was. They went on explaining why they weren't sure if it was a lighter tone or darker tone based on the lighting - so I revealed it and they just went "Oh. I was not expecting them to be green."
the colour overlayed atop the image is this indigo colour, but even when it was more straight up blue the skin colour did not translate at all
Colour is wacky and the way our brains percieve it is also wacky
Anyway I had this idea a long time ago about making references of what each of my splatoon ocs look like under blacklight (idk if cephalopods glow under blacklight, I tried looking it up at the time but I did not get any answers), and another idea I had was sanitized octolings have a bit of the sanitized ink texture on their skin. Combining the two, that texture would glow under blacklight
I didn't put the texture on his regular skin, didn't feel like doing that"
I also didn't feel like fixing the texture issue I had because I had been using the wrong layer style (forgot which one I needed). Also cheated the foreshortening so I could make this one a full body :P

- This was actually my original lineart. I changed it bc I didn't want to clean up the colours, yet I still wanted to rate it as clean colour iirc
